Entry Guidelines
- Submission is open to all practicing artists who reside on Vancouver Island or the Gulf Islands.
- Artwork may be in two or three dimensions, in any medium.
- Up to three (3) pieces per artist may be submitted. (Diptychs and triptychs are considered one piece.)
- Maximum size for 2-D artwork (including dyptichs and triptychs) is 7.5’ x 7.5’. For 3-D up to a maximum 9’ in height. Artist must be available to help with lifting any heavy or awkward work.
- Artwork must be original, completed in the last 18 months and not shown locally in another major art show.
- Artwork must be available for sale at a fair market price.
- Jurors will assume all work is complete as submitted.
- Artwork must be completed and ready for hanging or display. Do not bring work for adjudication that has not cured. NO wet paint, plaster, varnish, etc!
- All 2D artwork must be wired securely using D-rings with screws (screw eyes acceptable for small works only). No sawtooth hangers or V-clips!
- Hand-generated, digital and photographic prints, engravings, lithographs and etchings will be accepted for adjudication, in limited editions of not more than 25.
- Computer generated artwork must be entirely original.
- Reproductions and copies will not be accepted for adjudication. Sooke Fine Arts Society retains the right to remove any artwork from adjudication that may contravene copyright laws.
- Artwork left after the times allotted for adjudication will be subject to a storage fee of $10 per day.
- Artists must read and understand the Entry Agreement.
